Install TrappWallet on Android
Direct install. Not on Google Play yet, so Android will ask your permission once — here is exactly what it asks and why.
On a computer?
Scan this with your phone's camera to open this page there, then tap Download.
What Android will ask
- Chrome warns that this type of file can harm your device. That warning appears for every APK, from anyone. Tap Download anyway.
- Open the downloaded file. Android says Chrome is not allowed to install unknown apps. Tap Settings on that prompt — it takes you straight to the right screen — and turn on Allow from this source.
Doing it by hand instead: Settings › Apps › Special app access › Install unknown apps › Chrome. Since Android 8 this is a per-app permission, not a device-wide switch, so you are only ever trusting Chrome.
- Tap Install. You only grant that permission once; future updates install without asking.
Play Protect
You may see “Unsafe app blocked” or a scan prompt. Play Protect flags anything not distributed through Google Play, TrappWallet included. Choose Install anyway / More details to continue. Play Protect keeps scanning the app afterwards either way — installing outside Play does not switch it off.
Good to know
- Updates are manual for now. A sideloaded build does not auto-update; come back here for the next one. That changes once the Play listing is live.
- Your keys never leave the device. The seed phrase is generated on your phone and stored in the Android keystore. Write it down — nobody can recover it for you.
- Same signing key every release, so updates install over the top without you uninstalling anything.
